Appreciate the strong supports from our taiji fellows that we are able to form a big group of 103 of us to participate in the Mass Taiji For All 2014.
I am proud of the taiji spirit shown during the period of training, the precious time and effort of every participants that make you great in this event.

2014年太极千人操，吸引了3813人一起打太极。我们杨厝港民众俱乐部派出103个太极爱好者参加了这个大型的项目。 于此同时也见证了同学们的太极精神，互相扶持，互相鼓励，从大家脸上的笑容， 我可以感染到大家的欢欣的心情。
为了这次的千人操， 同学们不余遗力，付出宝贵的时间和精神，争取每个练习的机会，在非常短的时间内学会这套拳，感谢同学们的用心和支持。

杨厝港太极拳，加油！加油！ 赞！赞！赞！

Annual Chinese New Year Gathering 新年团拜

农历新年是个大日子，是个团圆欢乐的日子。
每一年， 杨厝港太极俱乐部都会趁此佳节，组织团拜活动，让各个班级的学员欢聚一堂，交流思想、联络感情。同学们都很踊跃的带了好多的食物，有各自的拿手好菜，有各处买的美食，排满了长长的桌子。也不忘了新年习俗捞鱼生，祈愿新年大家健康， Huat ah!
除了尽情享受美食以外，还有同学们悦耳的歌声，唱着首首新年歌。 平时上课时缺少了沟通的时刻，趁着此时，大家也可以认识其他班的朋友，互相交流。
新年好彩头，每位来宾都获赠一个红包，希望来年顺顺利利。团拜也在欢乐的游戏中结束了。

 

Video on inspiring story from our taiji community - 4th Nov 2012

Today, a video is taken on YCKCC taichi interest group, focusing on the private estate participants, which through learning taiji together, their get to know that they come from the same estate, they are  neighbour.

Lentor Estate is a big private housing estate, a few of them staying streets away, but get to know each other and become friends after learning taichi from the same CC. Friendship are forged through various taiji activities, one that really bond each other together was the Chingay 2012 Taichi Gongfufan, participants gone through all the thick and thin together and getting closer after multiple rehearsals.

Maxine will share her story how she integrated into the taiji community and befriend with the group. She invited the classmate to her house to savour her signature dishes.
The video session end with the visit to Maxine's house, her husband shaing with us his unique hobby, handcrafted pens, bottle stoppers, key chain etc.

  

YCKCC Taiji Interest Group Photo - 22nd Oct 2012

Remember all these photo?  we took these to showcase our YCKCC taiji interest group. Some of the photo will be displayed on the Active Lifestyle with PAssion Event, an anuual high point engagement activity for the National Tai Chi Program, on 25th Nov 2012 at Republic Polytechnic, look out for your faces there.

The aim of the event is to encourage seniors to lead and active lifestyle and stay healthy. It is a half a day program including Taichi performance and a mega workshop on "Taichi and Health". Participants will also get to try-out the different active lifestyle workshops to develop interest other than Taichi

Moonfest Taiji Nite 2012, 1st Oct 12

十月是非常忙碌的一个月， 一连串紧密的妆艺太极剑的工作坊和彩排，让我消受不了， 非常抱歉，耽误了上载，让大家久等了。照片终于出炉了 MoonfestTaijiNite2012

筹备了3个月，今天终于等到了让大家大展身手的时刻了。 趁着一年一度中秋节的庆祝活动，今年特别邀请各班级，组织自己的小组呈现一个表演项目，节目要求创意，新颖, 富娱乐性。 所以这三个月，观察到大家如火如荼的进行着准备工作，开会讨论，剪接音乐，编排套路，物色服装/道具等。看着同学们热心的参与，友情也在不知不觉中开花了。

Teachers Day Celebration @ YCKCC

7 Sept 2012 - A grand Teachers Day Celebration at YCKCC

This grand celebration party is arranged and organized secretly behind me, by getting together Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening taiji classes to come together, bringing delicious foods and drinks, to give me a surprise and to  show their gratitude. Indeed, I was surprised and excited to see so many of you the moment I stepped  into the lobby.

每年老师节， 个别太极班都不忘了用各种庆祝方式来表达他们的心意和谢意。每年我都建议不送礼给我，一张卡片，一个蛋糕或一个简单聚餐，只要大家能开心聚集在一起，就是一种幸福，我很珍惜和享受这样的机会，平常教拳时很忙，也比较严肃，难得今天懈下一切，显出轻松的一面。身为教练，我最大的心愿就是同学们用心的把太极拳练好，大家都身强体壮，意气风发，这就是给我的最好礼物。

最后，对于大家热烈的支持和奉献，物体上的或精神上的， 我都要至上万二分的谢意。希望来年我们做的更好，更健康，更上一层楼，

YCK Friday AM class secretly organised  a celebration, a cool and meaningful card drawn by Mona's daughter, Chese cake and durian puff prepared by Mr Cheah and some other food brought by the classmate, simple yet full with tender and care of everyone. Thanks all for everything done.

一年一度的教师节又来临了，每年到这个时候，学生们都不会忘了庆祝。虽然是简简单单的食物和卡片， 却是同学的一番心意。Cecillia带来拿手‘菜头糕’，让大家垂涎三尺。
还是那句老话，身为太极教练，我最大的希望就是大家都能从学习太极拳锻炼身心， 健康幸福。

Moonfest Taiji Nite 2012 龙腾中秋太极联欢晚会

Mooncake festival is approaching. We have a special celebration program this year and would appreciate your attendance at 2012 Mooncake Festival at YCKCC on 01 October 2012.

This is an excellent opportunity for all students from the various classes to mingle and get to know one another, and also to foster and enhance cooperation and camaraderie spirit.

We would appreciate your presence by 7.30 pm at the Hall.

Only light refreshments and finger food will be available.

We would like to thank those who contribute the drinks and food for their generosity.

We would also like to express our heartiest appreciation to those who will be performing that evening.

一转眼，一年一度的中秋节即将来临。今年的中秋节庆祝活动“龙腾中秋太极联欢晚会”定于十月一日，星期一,晚上7。30pm，假杨厝港民众俱乐部礼堂举行。借此机会，我们邀请各班级呈现一个新颖的太极项目，节目必须富想象力，创新及娱乐性，目的是让来自各班级的学员打成一片， 促进了解，合作及加强友爱精神。晚会将备有饮料和小食等。在此，我们感谢饮料食物赞助者及表演项目的学员们。

Teacher Day Celebration @ Mapplewood Park

Mapplewood Park Taiji Group organised a Pot-luck Makan Session to celebrate Teachers' day, all the signature, delicious and healthy food prepared with loving hearts. Beside savouring the good food, everyone is also busy in asking the secret recipe, like how to make crispy preserved green chili, how to make the tasteful yam cake..... Cooking skill is like taiji practise, practice make perfect, all these good food are the fruit of experiences accumulated throughout the years, with understanding, innovative, learn from trial and mistakes, do not give up and success is ahead, that is the spirit of learning taiji too.
