Volunteer Taichi At Thye Hua Kwan Hospital

Every Friday commenced from 7 Dec 12, we head to Thye Hua Kwan Hospital Ang Mo Kio to teach the wheelchair bounded patients seated taichi, hoping that they enjoy the benefit of taichi despite their less mobility.

It is really encouraging and inspiring to feel the keenness of the patient, they are delighted and looking forward to the taichi session every Friday. 4 of us (Siew Hua, Lin Ho, Amanda and me) enjoy the hour with them, seeing them with smiling face and endless thank you at the end of every session and their improvement over a period of time. We are thinking of some new idea to improve the movement to make it fun and enjoyable.
We welcome whoever interested in volunteer work to come forword, we hope to strengthen our volunteer team.

Volunteer Taichi for Elderly - Citycare at Blk 8 North Bridge Rd

Through Citycare, we (Philip, David, Amanda and me) was invited to conduct a volunteer taichi session for elderly nearby Blk 8 North Bridge Road. There are elderly of Malay and Indian community, but surprisingly they enjoy the taichi session too. I am so happy that my little knowledge of Malay coversation did a great job here and the people are happy to share more Malay term with me while we share our taichi knowledge with them.
